The Bowen Center for the Arts 15th Annual Juried Photo Show ‘LIGHT ON SUBJECT’

The Bowen Center for the Arts will be hosting an Awards Reception for their 15th Annual Juried Photography Show Saturday, September 2nd from 1:00-3:00pm. On exhibit are some of the finest works produced by 36 regional artists (including 8 first timers to a juried event) from all over Georgia. Almost all works presented in this show are for sale.

This year’s Photo Judge is Travis Rhoads of Alpharetta. Travis’ artistic background began in high school with awards for fine art drawings and paintings. He received his Masters Degree from The Savannah College of Art & Design where he studied architecture and which also lead him to his passion for photography. He is currently Vice President of the Roswell Photographic Society. He has won several awards including First Prize in Bowen’s 2016 Annual Photo Show.

He will be awarding a First Prize of $500, Second $300 and Third $150. He also added Four Honorable Mention awards due to the high quality of works presented.

The Bowen Center for the Arts is located just North of Dawsonville’s Historic Square at 334 Highway 9 North. Admission is free. Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10 to 4, Saturday Noon to 4.
